I love this quote. As a kid my family would tease me that I was a complete packrat, I would save every birthday card, any rocks I thought were interesting, and every single magazine that was sent to our house (I’m pretty sure there is still a stack of them hidden somewhere at my parents’ house – sorry mom!) Now as an “adult,” I have gotten somewhat better but I still tend to save things that I think I will reuse someday like any packing boxes, cool glass bottles, clothing with a great print, that huge bundle of pens (I can’t throw something away that still works fine!) It’s just one of the burdens of being a DIYer, I feel like eventually I will figure out another use for it!
This quote reminds me that if I don’t have a use for it now and I don’t feel like it’s beautiful then why have it cluttering up my house? The quote could also apply to my wardrobe especially those items I keep thinking I will have an occasion to wear them to or my old prom dresses! Look out house- you’re about to be decluttered!
