A Grand Granddad

I have been MIA recently because my granddad passed away on April 6th at the age of 86. I was very close with him as he was the other goofball in the family and he always had a joke about “a windy” or a story about his adventures in the Navy to tell at every family dinner. He lived a full and exciting life and was still sharp as a tack and funny as could be until the day he passed. Both he and my grandmother were married for 67 wonderful years and they showed Jesse and I how to have a successful marriage fully equipped with lots of love, laughter, and the occasional jab in the ribs when a joke got out of hand.

I am going to miss him terribly but I am so happy that he lived such a full life and passed peacefully, we are looking forward to the day we see him again when I’m sure he will have lots of new stories to share! Love and miss you, granddad!
