Friday Favorites: March 8th

Hello and happy Friday! I hope you all had a great week, Jesse and I sure did! We were able to make it back home to visit both of our families which made for a fun week full of delicious food, competitive card games, and of course lots of laughs! Here are a few of my favorites from this week.

Favorite Photo:
Reunited Bulldog Sisters
While visiting we took Rosie and Ruby over to visit my mother-in-law where they were reunited with Kona who is Rosie’s sister and Ruby’s daughter. The three of them have not seen each other in months so it was fun to have a little bulldog celebration! They all had so much fun playing and they really wore each other out, Ruby still refuses to leave her bed until she has fully recovered!

Favorite Sweet:
Vegan Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies
Every time I visit home my mom has something delicious and sweet awaiting our arrival. This week she made vegan coconut chocolate chip cookies that were soft like a coconut macaroon but the vegan chocolate chips gave it the perfect crunch. Not only are they vegan-friendly but they contain no wheat and are gluten-free. Seriously delicious. You can find the recipe on her blog, Imagine Great Living.

Favorite Fashion:

I am so excited for spring and the new fashion it brings so when I saw Gap’s new spring collection, I was in love! They have mastered spring layering by perfectly pairing pops of yellows and neon pinks with bold and graphic patterns. Now I feel the itch to run out and buy a whole new wardrobe filled with florals, stripes, and neons! Bring on the warm weather!

We found out my sister is having a baby girl just a few weeks ago and already I visit a store and suddenly find myself wandering through the baby isles! My first purchase was this cute hat set for my future little bunny niece and I can’t wait to see it on her! While visiting my sister this week, she grabbed my hand mid-sentence and said to feel her belly. My little bunny was thumping around in there and as soon as I felt her kick I screamed, giggled, then cried in a matter of seconds. Typical me, just a ball of emotions.

Even when we are living states apart, my friend Leah and I are on the same brain-wave. Crazy cat ladies for life! As fabulous as the handmade kitty sweater was, it was super scratchy which leads me to believe it must have been made out of real kitty hair! Me-owch!

Favorite Laugh:

Seriously hilarious but I can’t help but hope they destroyed those room service lids after. Yuck!
