Valentine’s Care Package

Hi friends! I hope you all had a great Valentine’s day. I spent mine working but Jesse and I will be celebrating tonight with my fondue and 10 minute cheesecake! We don’t really do Valentine’s gifts anymore so when I received a Valentine’s care package from my parents I was so excited. Before opening I was thinking, “I hope there’s chocolate!” My mom must have been sensing my telepathic vibe for chocolate because I was certainly not disappointed!!

Our care package included fun “truth or dare” chocolate covered fortune cookies that had questions like “What is your most embarrassing moment?” They were fun to eat and required you to stop and talk for a minute about your fortune before devouring another one! There was also some fun note cards (perfect for pen palling with my grandma) and some peanut m&m’s (which mysteriously disappeared right away and all that was left was the empty bag).

Our care package also included pomegranate gummies covered in dark chocolate which I am now obsessed with and found the world’s largest bag at Costco (dangerous), a dark chocolate bar with raspberries,  and some Godiva dark chocolate covered pretzels which were so good! Our care package was complete with the cutest bulldog card (of course!) and 2 toys for Rosie and Ruby.

I was excited to have some little goodies around the house so that I could finally use my cute little ramekin bowls from Anthropologie!

While I was taking my pictures of all the goodies, I looked over and saw Rosie sitting pretty for her toy! Too funny, she knew grandma wouldn’t forget her 🙂
Sitting Pretty
Both of them quickly snatched their toy and went to their respective corners to enjoy them.. but we all know that didn’t last long.New toy
Pretty soon Rosie had to see if Ruby’s toy was better so she sneakily creeped in and stole Ruby’s toy. A game of tag/hide-and-seek/tug-o-war continued for an hour or so until they both tuckered out and fell asleep.Play time
They both snuggled up with their toys (Ruby had a death grip on hers) and enjoyed a few minutes of rest before Rosie reached over and stole Ruby’s toy, then the whole game began again…

Hope you have a great weekend,
Natalie
